This is a relatively inexpensive place to stay on Maui. It's no-frills and nothing fancy but it is a nice comfortable place to stay. It It's off the beaten path, but you're not too far out from downtown Lahaina. I will definitely go back here when I go to Maui again.. It is oceanfront and the beach is not more... more

This was our 3rd visit to Hawaii and we decided to settle on Maui on the Kaanapali Coast. After reading reviews and getting prices My husband and I decided to try the Mahana. Traveling from the East Coast, Maui is a long trip and unfortunately I developed a very sick headache and by the time we reached Kahului around 5:30pm... more

After carefully researching and planning our 25th wedding anniversary trip, we decided to book the Mahana through Resort Quest for December 1st - 6th, 2008. We asked for a recently upgraded room, and were not disappointed. We were assigned unit 506, which was a one bedroom, and it was absolutely beautiful. It was a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary,... more

So after carefuly consideration and review of many websites we chose the RQ Mahana in Maui. We booked through the resorts web site, although we really did want to book a specific room through the owner. The problem we encountered with doing that is that most owners require 50% minimum down to hold the reservation and if for whatever reason... more

I disagree with the statement to "forget snorkeling by the Mahana". Actually, some of the best, unspoiled, snorkeling on Maui is about 120 yards (2-3 minute walk) south of the Mahana. Directly in front of the buildings is not good due to rock and coral close to shore. But, as posted on signs by the Mahana beach, just a 2...

My husband and I stayed at the Mahana 12/2/08 - 12/13/08 in room 516. We loved it!!! It was quiet and beautiful. We really enjoyed the view. We had palm trees near our windows and it really made our pictures lovely. The room was simple, clean and elegant. We only had to go to the front desk to have our... more

We booked the Mahana after reading all the reviews on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. We wanted the ocean views and we got even more than we bargained for at room 314. Coz its a low floor, it really felt like the ocean was right in front of us. Heard from our guide while on a tour that this... more

I stayed in this hotel from Dec 4-10, 2008. The overall experience was just good for me. The hotel is in a very good location, next to the kaanapali beach, the most popular and one of the best beaches in Maui, after visiting a few other beaches in the island. There is also a good grocery store in walking distance... more

4 nights stay. Booked through an online travel agent for resortquest. (not an individual owner) The week before, there were heavy rains and hence water had come onto the carpets. Thats why the management had kept a large fan to dry it off. When we reached, it had almost dried off. But that wasn't an issue for us. The condo... more

My husband and I stayed at the Mahana from Nov. 21-Nov 28, 2008 for a partial business trip partial vacation and for the Maui Invitational. We stayed in room 914 and it was great! I couldn't have expected more or better. The condo was completely upgraded to even include self closing cabinet drawers and a 50inch flat screen TV. The... more

What a stunning view of the ocean. We were in room 505 and it was perfect. Two bathrooms nice decor. New kitchen and a great view. We could walk 100yrds to the left and have a great beach to swim. The afternoon trade winds do make the pool too windy in the afternoon. There is a small store right across... more
