I have stayed at this hotel on five different occasions and was shocked to read some of the recent negative reviews. The fact is that this hotel sits on one of the best beaches on the Hawaiian Islands. The only other beaches that fit into the same category would be the Mauna Kea Beach Resort (the best hotel in the... more

We had a good size room with a king bed and a sea view. For the price we paid we expected a fantastic room but it was adequate with a tired looking bathroom. The hotel did not seem to have any atmosphere, even in the bar area. Breakfast was expensive compared to the local shopping area - a 10 mins... more

We had stayed at this hotel before and had very fond memories, which is why we chose it again for our honeymoon. It would have probably been better to leave those fond memories alone because our recent stay was just average. We were hoping for an upgraded room given it was our honeymoon and my husbands gold starwood status. We... more

The Sheraton Maui has the best beach from all the hotels along the Kaanapali beach shoreline. We took a long walk down the beach and all the other hotels have a very short beach area infront of their hotel. I can only imagine how crowded it must be during busy high holidays. I snorkeled everyday by Blackrock. There were turtles... more

We stayed at the Sheraton the week before Christmas. We were in building 6, oceanfront room. The hotel is very nice, but huge. We loved our room and it was very modern and comfortable. The fridge and microwave area they give you is very large and handy for a run to Safeway to stock up on breakfast items and water.... more

I have stayed at the Sheraton Maui at least ten times. The rooms are extremely small and tired. The location is excellent and you can accesss many of Maui's best restaurants with a short drive. There is no spa (they are building one now, but it looks VERY unimpressive). The food at the hotel is mostly inedible; especially the food... more

The Sheraton has a great location, but the rooms are in need of an overhaul. They upgraded us to a corner ocean front room for free, which was awesome. It wasn't ready when we got there so they gave each of us a free drink. The bathtub clogged each use even after we had it fixed TWICE! The showers are... more

If you plan to stay in this hotel, please read my review before you make a reservation. we stayed in Sheraton maui around thanksgiving for a wk. we booked the oceanfront room which is very far away from lobby area. I don't recommend for a family with small children to stay in oceanfront room. It takes about 3 elevators and... more

We checked in to the Sheraton on 12/13/08 and departed on 12/19/08. I am 26 and my husband is 31. This was our first trip to Maui and we are Starwood Preferred members, so we booked directly with SPG for a rate of $330/night for partial oceanview (breakfast included). We have stayed in 5-star resorts before, but also do just... more

We stayed at the Maui Sheraton for the week of Dec 10-17th. Even though we had to deal with a lot of rain for a couple of days, it was a great place to get away. We were put in building 5, which seem to have the nicest, most updated rooms, The staff was courteous, and as everyone mentions, the... more
