Our family of five (parents mid thirties, kids, 14, 10 and 4) stayed at the MB Resort from August 23 to August 31. While in MB we visited Broadway at the Beach, Ripley's Aquarium, Wild Water and Wheels, Crabby Mikes, Margaritaville, The cheesesteak factory and Hungry Howies. We cooked in for breakfast, lunch and for some dinners. We even grilled... more

I have been coming to this resort since the late '80's, and truly think it is one of the best values around. The beach is beautiful and not nearly as crowded as other beaches on the Strand. The beachfront pool is huge, the kiddie pool area with lazy river is a blast, and the indoor pool is great for the... more

This is a great place for a family. The condo was updated and clean. The beach and pools are great. We have a 3 year old and a new born. Our 3 year old had the time of his life. more

Stayed here for a week in early August with my family + brother-in- law's family. One of the most relevant comments in the many recent reviews was that numerous individuals and a few vacation property companies own these condos. Consequently, it is quite true that your experience largely depends upon the unit you rent. This review involves two units run... more

Just got back from a week at the resort. The kids loved the lazy river and pools. My wife and I liked the convenient location and beach access. The condo we stayed in wasn't anything fancy, but it was clean and a great value for the price. Other places we looked into were much more expensive. We booked our condo... more

I and a group of friends (ages 18-20) booked a stay at the Myrtle Beach Resort for a week trip in July. My parents are owners of several new hotels in Sevierville, TN (comfort suites, holiday inn full service ect.) so I know about the traveling and hospitality market, and what makes a room a cut above the rest! I... more

I went to to Myrtle Beach Resort July/2008. The units are condos, and the one we stayed in was clean and well taken care of. We loved that they had multiple pools, but it felt like an apartment complex "near" a beach. Our favorite part of staying here was the lazy river in one pool section. It was large, and... more

I have stayed at Myrtle Resort for the past 3 years. This year we waited a little late to get our regular room in bld. B so we had to contact the resort directly and make the reservation. Usually we stay in an ocean view room but this year we stayed ocean front and in the Tower. I was a... more

Oh, and thank you for posting your pictures. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words! You sound like the kind of tenant owners love to have stay in their units! Some guests complain about having to put the sheets on the beds themselves or that they can't get clean towels every day. I always make it clear...

I recently stayed at the Myrtle Beach Resort for a week while at a dance competion at the convention center. Approximately 30 other families from the dance studio also stayed at this "resort" (and uniformily had similiar comments). I cannot recommend this property to ANYONE (not even my worst enemy). The units in general are in extremely poor repair and... more

The thing about Myrtle Beach Resort is that they are Condos. So the room next door may be nice and the one you are in is just nasty. I would recommend the shorter 5 story buildings as opposed to the Tower. The Tower has 1 bank of (3 elevators) to handle 21 Floors and was a total nightmare. They claim... more
